Building Management can archive group chats and broadcast channels to organise ongoing conversations without permanently deleting them. Archived chats will become read-only and can not be modified; they can be unarchived. They will also be moved from the 'Recent' chat list to the 'Archived' chat list.
Archiving
- Navigate to the messages page in the connecX portal. Messages are near the bottom of the left navigator bar.
- Select a group chat or broadcast channel from the list
- Click the Settings icon, located in the top-right corner of the chat/channel.
- Click the Archive button at the bottom of the chat settings page.
- Upon clicking Archive, you will face a confirmation modal.
- The group chat will now be moved to the Archived chat list and have an information banner at the top.
Unarchiving
- Select an archived group chat or broadcast channel from the list.
- In the information banner at the top, click the "Unarchive" button for a quick shortcut.
- Alternatively, you can click the Settings icon at the top-right corner of the chat/channel and click the Unarchive button at the bottom.
