Overview:
Messaging in the platform enables real-time communication between Building Management and residents. Building Managers and Admins have comprehensive control, allowing them to view and manage all chats for their site, delete messages, archive conversations, and set message approvals. Portal users (Building Management) and app users (residents) can share URLs, photos, videos, and documents. There are four messaging channel types: one-way broadcast channels, and two-way group chats, direct chats, and resident chats.

Building Management Access:

Account Owners, Admins, and Building Managers belong to the Building Management user group, which grants them access to all chats within the portal. Regardless of who initiates or creates a chat, all managers can view and participate in it, responding under their own profiles. This ensures consistent management oversight and seamless communication across the team.

4 Channel Types:

Broadcast Channel (1-Way)

Building management uses a one-way broadcast channel to send important updates or announcements directly to residents. Unlike a regular chat, residents can receive messages but cannot reply. You can add User Groups, which are static, system-managed memberships.

Group Chat (2-way)

A 2-way group chat is a channel created only by building management, which can consist of multiple residents and other building managers across buildings. Managers can create group chats with users based on specific criteria. For example, they can make a group chat only for tenants in Building A on levels 3 and 4. Managers can also add and remove members of these groups

Building management and residents can exchange messages, media, and files in real-time, allowing for open discussions within the building community. Building management can also set up group chats to require message approvals for censorship.

Building management to Resident chat (2-way)

A two-way Management-to-Resident chat allows building management to communicate directly with a single resident in real-time and vice versa. Both parties can exchange messages, media, and files. If there are multiple building managers, all managers can access this chat and respond or send messages, ensuring continuous support regardless of the manager available.

Management chat (2-way)

The 2-way Management chat enables real-time, 1-on-1 conversations between building managers. This chat feature is only available within the management portal, meaning both managers must use separate devices or switch between accounts to communicate. This ensures secure, direct communication between building managers for internal discussions and coordination.
