1. Placement of Bluetooth Readers
Due to the extended range of Bluetooth signals, it is recommended not to install Bluetooth readers too close to each other.
If space constraints require two readers to be placed in close proximity, inform the customer to use the following process to ensure proper functionality:
- Open the ConnecX App.
- Navigate to Access Control > FDI and pre-select the desired door reader within the app.
- This ensures that the correct reader is scanned and used.
2. Adjusting Reader Sensitivity
In cases where the environment presents challenges, adjustments to the reader’s sensitivity might be necessary. This can be done using the Cloud iPassan Manager.
- Activating Advanced Mode: Use the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+D in the cloud manager to enable Advanced Mode, which allows you to fine-tune the reader's sensitivity.
- When to Adjust Sensitivity:
- If there is interference caused by environmental factors, such as:
- Enclosed spaces (e.g., elevators).
- Areas with multiple Bluetooth broadcasts or overlapping Wi-Fi signals.
- If two readers are installed next to each other:
- Set one reader's sensitivity to high to ensure it can be picked up from a distance.
- Set the other reader's sensitivity to low to avoid overlap and interference.
- If there is interference caused by environmental factors, such as:
Summary
Proper placement and sensitivity adjustments are crucial for optimizing Bluetooth reader performance. Following these guidelines will minimize interference and ensure a seamless user experience.
