Overview

  • Building managers can now cancel both a stand-alone event and an entire repeat event directly from the portal compared to the previous option of only archiving events.

  • Important: Portal users can not cancel a single event that is part of a repeat event. connecX is aware that this is an issue, and we aim to fix this when we conduct our uplift of the facility calendar. When editing a single event within a series, the archive/save/cancel buttons will not be displayed on the modal screen.

  • Building managers must provide a reason for cancellation when cancelling an event. When clicking on cancel a cancellation confirm modal will pop up where a building manager can input the cancellation reason.

How to Cancel an event

  1.  Enter the Events Calendar from the side navigation bar
  2.  Click the event you wish to cancel.

  3. Remember you can not cancel a single even that is part of a repeat event. If you select a single event that is part of a repeat event, you wont have the ability to make any changes for that particular event.

  4. Once you have selected the event you want to cancel, select the cancel button at the bottom.

  5. Enter the cancellation reason. It is mandatory to complete this field. Residents will be able to see the cancellation reason within the app.
  6. Click confirm to cancel the booking

Filter for cancelled events

Building managers can filter the calendar to display events by status: cancelled, archived, active, or show all. By default, the calendar will only show active bookings.

Event Cancellation in the App

When a Building Manager cancels an event in the portal, app users will see new cancelled status attached to the event. When you click that cancelled event in the app, users will also be able to see the event cancellation reason. Within "My Bookings" a cancelled status will be displayed against a booking a user made for a cancelled event.

  • Residents will see a cancelled status displayed for a cancelled event, if they click that cancelled event they will also see the cancellation reason.

  • Residents who made a booking for a cancelled event will also see a cancelled status displayed against their booking on the My Bookings page.
