Overview: this article covers how to make a visitor booking in connecX.

If the user who is creating a visitor booking in connecX is also synced to a user in iPassan, then they will be able to create a visitor booking in iPassan via connecX. The visitor will inherit the access profile of the visitee for the duration of their visit. The visitor will receive an access pin code which they can use to enter a building. They can also use the access pin code wherever there is a pin code lock that is accessible for the visitee's access profile.

Creating a Visitor Booking

Step 1. Create a visitor booking in connecX

Step 2. Tick "Provide Building and Apartment Access to Visitor" this will trigger the Visitor Booking creation in iPassan

Step 3. Before the visitor booking is completed you will be faced with a confirmation pop-up.

Step 4. Once the visitor booking has been submitted, you will be presented with a pop-up explaining that the submission was successful as well as details about the access code given to the visitor.

Note: if the app user is not synced to an iPassan user then the visitor booking will fail.

Both the app user and the visitor will recieve an email confirming the visitation as well as the access code.

Step 5. After the visitor booking is created in connecX that visitor will now appear in iPassan.

Head to the Users & Access Profiles page and select Visitors.

Editing a Visitor Booking

The only changes you can make to an existing visitor booking is that you can change the start and end time of the visitation. Once you make these changes then the app user and visitor will get a new email confirmation. These changes will also reflect in iPassan

Deleting a Visitor Booking

If you delete a booking that in effect will cancel the visitation, and the visitor will receive another email informing them of the cancellation. The access code that was previously provided will no longer work and the visitor booking in iPassan will be updated to show that the visitor no longer has an access code credential.
