Overview:

This article covers the relationship between users that are both in connecX and Ipassan and what happens when they are created, edited or archived.


Creating Users in iPassan through connecX:

Only Tenants, Commercial Tenant and Owner Occupier user types can be created in iPassan through connecX.

There are two ways that these user types can be created in iPassan through connecX
1. A user is manually created in the connecX portal.

2. A user completes the registration form and the registration form is approved by the building manager


Important: 

1. if a user is FIRST created in iPassan, and is then created in connecX with the same email. That user created in connecX will not be synced with the user created in iPassan and it will also not create duplicate user in iPassan due to a conflict of emails.


2. Users created in iPassan first will have no direct connection with users in connecX.



Editing Users in iPassan through connecX:

User information that is edited in connecX such as their First Name, Last Name, Mobile Number, Unit, and Registration will be updated automatically in iPassan.

Important: Never change an iPassan user's email address because it will not be reflected in connecX which will run the risk of creating duplicate users in ipassan with different emails.

Deleting Users in iPassan through connecX:

In connecX no functionality allows you to delete a user, however, if you archive a user in connecX it will delete that user in iPassan.


if an archived user is Reactived, then you select that user and press save, that will re-create that user in iPassan.

if a user is deleted in iPassan, and is still active in connecx, open up the user and select save and then that user will reappear in ipassan.
