IMPORTANT: The default Survey Monkey account type for all sites is a free account, with inherent limitations. As a free account, you can generate access tokens crucial for Survey Monkey and connecX integration, but each token has a 90-day lifespan.
Upon expiration, a new token must be created; however, there's no limit to the number of tokens you can generate.
Additionally, each survey is associated with an access token, meaning when a token expires, so do the linked surveys.
Creating a survey from scratch:
1. Enter Create Survey from the Survey Monkey homepage.
2. In the create survey page, you can select from the following:
However, in this document we will only cover "start from scratch"
3. Select start from scratch, then give your survey a name and choose a category.
If your questions are already elsewhere, then check "Copy questions and answers from a doc".
click create survey to finish up.
4. Next, you can personalise your survey to fit your liking. The options on the left sidebar will help you achieve what you want.
5. Incase you would prefer to create your own questions from scratch, select the "build" tab and then find the question type you would like to use. Each question can be a different question type
6. Click a question type to add to the end of the survey, or drag it anywhere you'd like. All that's left is to fill out the question and save.
7. Once you're finished with your survey, proceed to collect responses.
8. Lastly, in collect responses, proceed with send surveys your way and then chose "send by email".
9. Your survey is now ready to use. Don't forget that your survey must be under an active access token that is inputted in the connecX portal.
