What is an FDi Scanner?
An FDi scanner is a type of access control device that allows people to securely enter buildings by scanning assigned credentials, such as Bluetooth (BLE) signals. FDI scanners are typically installed at entry points, enabling seamless, secure access for residents using the building management app.
Bluetooth Credentials for FDi scanners
Building managers will assign BLE credentials to a resident's phone number. Once assigned, residents can proceed with setting up FDi access in the app.
Setting up FDi Scanners/BLE Authenticatio for your connecX app
Step 1: Open the app and navigate to Settings > Access Control > FDI Authentication.
Step 2: Enter your phone number and tap Submit.
Step 3: You will receive an SMS with a One-Time Passcode (OTP).
Once activated, your phone will be ready to interact with FDI readers for secure entry and exit.
