As part of this release, we are introducing budgeting to the connecX facility management platform.


Whilst our facility management has always included the standard FM functions, it has to date not provided relevant financial data for building managers.


Budget Codes

connecX now provides the ability to establish budget codes with budgets for each building. 

These codes are active for a given financial year (default July - June), can be planned, activated, and expire at the end of the year. Whilst these codes are active, the budgets will be available to be viewed in work orders and costs can be allocated to these budget codes, providing remaining balances.



Budget codes can be entered against Maintenance Plans, Work Orders, and Invoices in connecX.


Invoicing

connecX now supports the recording and uploading of invoices against a work order.  The invoices are added directly into an approved or completed work order and allow for the collection of actual costs in the work order which can then be compared to the estimated costs.  


Invoices are allocated to a budget code and consume the budget for the given code.

Invoices can also be seen within the related budget code in the detailed view of the area shown above.
