Steps required to create a new event 

How to 

  1. Select Events Calendar from the side navigation bar 
  2. Click on New on the header OR click a date in the calendar 
  3. Select an event from the possible Event Categories 
  4. Enter a Title for the event 
  5. Add a Location for the event to be held 
  6. Optionally, provide a Description for the event 
  7. Enter the Start Time and End Time for the event 
  8. You can also provide an Image for the event. 
  9. Click Save

Recurring Event 

If the event will be recurring, set Repeat Event to the appropriate length of time (Daily, Weekly, Fortnightly or Monthly). Make sure you set an End Date for your repeat event, that is, when should the events stop being created. 

Ticketed Event 

If the event is "ticketed", set Ticketed Event to "Yes". You can then set the number of Available Tickets to be sold, the Max Tickets a single user can purchase, and the Event Price for each ticket. 

You can also set when to close ticket purchases by selecting the time unit (Hours, Days or Weeks), then entering the number. For example, this event allows ticket purchases right up to the event start. 

 

This event will close bookings 2 days before the start of the event. 

 

If the event is not ticketed, or you are using an external booking system to manage tickets, set Ticketed Event to No. Add the URL to your external ticket system if you are using one. 




The event will now show in the calendar, along with any repeating events. Users will now be able to view this in their app and RSVP/purchase tickets.
