Navigating to the messages page

You can view all your messages by accessing the messaging component of the mobile app. Messages can be found in the top right corner, besides setting. 


Sending a message

Steps:

  1. Click on a chat that you would like to send a message to.
    Reminder: Broadcast channels are one-way only, and residents will not be able to send messages in a broadcast.
  2. Clicking the message composer, type your message and press the send icon.
  3. You can also send photos, videos, audio recordings, or documents separately or as part of a message.

Editing a message

Steps:

  1. Tap on a message, and a 'Reply', 'Edit' and 'Delete' icon will appear.
  2. Click on 'Edit' (pencil icon)
  3. A message input field will pop up for you to make your changes.
  4. When you're finished, press the send icon.
  5. The message will be sent with the newly edited content.

Deleting a message

Steps:

  1. Tap on a message, and a 'Reply', 'Edit' and 'Delete' icon will appear.
  2. Click on 'Delete' (trashcan icon)
  3. Upon deleting, the message will be replaced with a deletion placeholder.


Replying to a particular message

Steps:

  • Tap on a message, and a 'Reply', 'Edit' and 'Delete' icon will appear.
  • Click on 'Reply' (arrow icon)
  • Type your response in the message compose. When you're finished, press the send icon.




Note: Messaging is instantaneous.  You will not need to wait in the messaging app to receive a response.  When a message is received, these will be displayed as phone notifications. Ensure you have phone notifications for this mobile app turned on to receive essential building messages.
